London and
Californian based custom motorcycle builders, Untitled Motorcycles, have
created a one-off electric naked, based on the Zero SR/F. Known as the Zero XP,
the bike began life as the firm’s £ 17,990 (for the standard model) SR/F, which
arrived in dealers in May 2019 and produces 110 bhp and 140 ft-lb of torque from
its ZF75-10 motor and ZF14.4 lithium-ion battery.
The bike was built
by Untitled’s Hugo Eccles, who has previously worked on large-scale projects
with the likes of Ford. He was given exclusive access to the pre-production
machine during the final stages of its development, in order to create the drag
bike-inspired XP.
Debuted on
Thursday, 4 July at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, just the seat and footpegs
are retained in the same position, with a large portion of the switchgear and
all of bodywork changed to create a futuristic naked streetfighter.
Offering a
stripped-back take on Zero’s premium roadster, changes to the bike include
custom clip-ons with an internally-housed electronic throttle, braided lines
and Pirelli Diablo Superbike slicks. Minimalist bodywork is also used
deliberately in order to show off the electric motor.
The bike makes use
of many standard ancillary components though, including dual 320mm NG floating
front discs with dual J.Juan 4-piston radial calipers.
