It’s hard to imagine the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 as
a forbidden fruit in the United States yet that’s exactly what the Trail Boss
and RST Regular Cab models of the all-new truck are.
Only available for the Crew Cab and Double Cab body
versions in the U.S., the Trail Boss and RST trims for the 2019 Silverado 1500
are offered in the Middle East in a region-exclusive Regular Cab version.
All 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Regular Cab models
are offered as standard with the 355 hp 5.3-liter V8 engine mated to a
six-speed automatic transmission. Compared to the previous generation model,
the 2019 regular cab lineup offers a roomier interior with individual bucket
seats and “exceptional safety technology.”
Standard active safety features include the Blind
Spot Indicator, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, as well as Front and Rear Park
Assist. Connectivity-wise, the 2019 Silverado RST and Trail Boss regular cab
models offer a standard 8-inch Chevrolet Infotainment 3.0 system, Apple
CarPlay, and wireless phone charging.
Model-specific features for the Trail Boss include
the standard Z71 Off-Road package which brings a 2-inch factory suspension lift
and Autotrack 2-speed transfer case, and 18-inch black wheels shod with
GoodYear Wrangler Off-Road tires.
As for the RST trim, it comes with body-color center
bar, bumpers, and door handles, LED headlights, fog lights, and taillights, LED
cargo area lighting, 18-inch Bright Silver aluminum wheels, and Keyless Open
and Start.
The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss and RST
regular cab models recently went on sale in the Middle East with prices in the
UAE starting from AED 152,700 (US$ 41,570) and AED 158,000 (US$ 43,015).
