We first saw spy photos of the facelifted Talisman
sedan in April this year, and now we can bring you the first images of the
estate version. As with the four-door model, the wagon Grandtour only features
camouflage on the front and rear ends, which is were the only exterior changes
will be made. The Talisman Grandtour prototype is slightly less disguised at
the front, revealing more about the design for the front bumper.
It’s a pretty straightforward look, with the round fog lights nestled in newly designed trim pieces on each
side of the bumper and a new chrome strip above the fog lights that spans the
entire width of the bumper.
Judging by the tape applied to the upper grille we
can expect some mods there as well, as in the brand’s logo and the trim piece
that unites it with the headlights. Speaking of the latter, they are all-new
and feature full LED units. From what we can see, Renault has gone for a
Passat-esque shape, although the LED “moustaches” carry over. At the back, the
taillights appear to sport a new LED signature, with the bumper likely to adopt
a very subtle styling update as well at the lower part.
No photos of the interior are available for now but
we do not expect major changes anyway, apart from an updated infotainment
system, new upholstery colors, and some new trim. Not much will change under the
hood either, as Renault has already changed the entire engine lineup with the
switch to the WLTP standards. The 2020 Renault Talisman family should debut
later this year, probably at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
