A couple of 2021 Jaguar F-Type prototypes have been
filmed lapping the Nurburgring looking sexier than ever. It wouldn’t be an overstatement
to say the F-Type is one of the best-looking vehicles currently on the market,
and this clip indicates that the facelifted model will be even sexier.
Jaguar has worked
extensively redesigning the front fascia of the new car. The nose has been
lowered and a set of thin horizontal headlights were fitted to make for a
design reminiscent of the current Aston Martin Vantage – which, truth be told,
is no bad thing. The heavy camouflage makes it difficult to decipher any
further details about the front end but it clearly sports a new grille and
revised air intakes.
The rear of the new F-Type won’t change that much,
though, as it’ll feature the same quad tailpipe design for V8-powered models
and a very similar bumper and diffuser design. The moveable rear wing of the
current car has also been retained and there appears to be revised LED
taillights. In addition to the V8 prototype filmed in this video, there is one
car powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder.
We know that the revamped F-Type will be sold in
both Coupe and Convertible configurations and with a number of engines. The
current range is topped out by the SVR model and the limited-edition Project 7,
both featuring a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 churning out 567 HP, which might be
slightly improved for the facelifted model.
The new F-Type will be unveiled
sometime in 2020 as a 2021 model.
