Bajaj Auto has
launched a special edition of the Pulsar NS160 and the NS200 in the Colombian
market. The models come with unique graphics and several accessories that
distinguish them from their respective standard variants.
The special edition
Bajaj Pulsar NS160 and NS200 feature the same styling and the only
distinguishing visual aspect includes the 160 and 200 decals on the fuel tank.
Neon yellow highlights accompany the silver and black shade of the motorcycles.
The highlights are visible on the headlight mask, top of the fuel tank, tank
shrouds and on the side and rear panels. A similar shade has been used on the
rims of the bikes. The lower part of the rear panel features “Pulsarmania”
sticker. Additional equipment on the Pulsar NS160 and the NS200 special edition
models include knuckle guards, crash guards and rubber pads on the tank.
The changes are
limited to new graphics and additional accessories that the motorcycles
receive. Mechanical and hardware specifications on the Special Edition bikes
are identical to the standard variants. The Pulsar NS160 uses a 160.3 cc SOHC,
4-valve, oil-cooled, twin spark DTS-i engine that produces 15.5 PS at 8,500 rpm
and 14.6 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The NS200, on the other hand, uses 199.5 cc SOHC,
4-Valve, liquid-cooled, triple spark, DTS-i motor that delivers 23.5 PS at
9,500 rpm and 18.3 Nm at 8,000 engine revs.
Both motorcycles
use traditional telescopic forks with Anti-friction Bush at the front and a
Nitrox monoshock with Canister at the back to perform the shock absorption
tasks. Stopping power on the Pulsar NS160 comes from 240 mm front and 230 mm
rear discs. The Pulsar NS200 uses a 300 mm front disc (ABS model)/a 280 mm
front disc (non-ABS model) and a 230 mm disc rear disc.
