The KTM 790 Adventure has been launched in Indonesia. The new middleweight adventure tourer from the Austrian two-wheeler brand was showcased at the recently concluded Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show.

The KTM 790 Adventure is available in Indonesia in only the standard variant, for a price of IDR 350,000,000. There's no word on the launch of the R variant. The KTM 790 Adventure R Rally, which is limited to just 500 units worldwide, unlikely to be introduced there.

A report from March this year claimed that the KTM 790 Adventure might arrive in our market by the end of this year. A more recent report stated that the company will introduce the 390 Adventure next in India before bringing the higher displacement motorcycles like the 790 Duke and the 790 Adventure. KTM has remained silent about any details.

Both the variants of the KTM 790 Adventure draw power from the same 799 cc LC8c, parallel-twin engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox with slipper/assist clutch feature, the motor churns out 94 HP of peak output and 88 Nm of maximum torque. The electronics package on both bikes includes ride-by-wire throttle with selectable riding modes, multi-level traction control system and switchable ABS. The R variant further benefits from Rally mode, fully adjustable WP XPLOR 48 mm front forks and WP Apex PDS rear shock absorber. Quickshifter+ and cruise control can be added as optional features. The standard 790 Adventure, on the other hand, uses non-adjustable front forks.

In terms of styling, the standard variant comes with a regular front fender and a split-seat setup. The R variant gets more off-road-ready persona in the form of the tall-set front fender and a rally-style flat, single-piece seat.
