The Maruti XL6 is officially available to pre-order beginning today. Customers are required to put down a deposit of INR 11,000 to reserve to be among the first ones to get the delivery after the launch.

The Maruti XL6' main highlights are its unique front fascia, rugged styling and captain seats in the middle row. Other interesting details include quad chamber LED headlamps with automatic functioning, black alloy wheels, cruise control, Smartplay Studio infotainment system, rain-sensing wipers and leather upholstery. Maruti Suzuki says that it will sell the XL6 in two grades, and according to reports, these will be Zeta and Alpha. The latter will be the range-topping equipment line.


The Maruti XL6 will reportedly be 4,445 mm long, 1,775 mm wide and 1,700 mm tall. Its length, width and height will be 50 mm, 40 mm and 10 mm more than that of the Maruti Ertiga. The wheelbase and the turning radius will be the same - 2,740 mm and 5.2 metres respectively. Under the hood, Maruti Suzuki has confirmed, it will have the K15B 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine featuring dual-battery mild-hybrid system as standard.

The K15B engine will be BS-VI compliant and be tuned to produce 104 PS at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic will be the transmission choices.


Maruti Suzuki will sell the XL6 through NEXA dealerships. The company may price it from somewhere between INR 10-11 lakh (ex-showroom). It will launch this model on the 21st of this month.
