You can thank McLaren Denver for these very special
600LT Spider models, commissioned by the Colorado retailer through MSO (McLaren
Special Operations). There are six cars in total in the Pikes Peak Collection, all
featuring unique MSO Bespoke or MSO Heritage paintwork, to go with a gold and
matte black vinyl stripe over the hood and roof, as well as Satin Speedline
Gold wheels. The exteriors were painted Black Gold, White Gold, Nerello Red,
Volcano Red, Aurora Blue and Midas Grey.
Each car boasts a Satin Gold center band on its
steering wheel, as well as Satin Gold extended paddle shifters and gold
contrast stitching. Meanwhile, the headrest pad features the Pikes Peak logo in
gold embroidery, while a dedication plaque reads ‘Pikes Peak Collection 1 of
6’.
Also available is the MSO Club Sport Pack, which
adds carbon fiber cantrails, carbon fiber front fender louvers and titanium
wheel bolts, to go with the Super-Lightweight Carbon Fiber Racing seats from
the McLaren Senna.
As for what it can offer you in terms of
performance, the 600LT Spider is equipped with the same 3.8-liter twin
turbocharged V8 engine as the Coupe, producing 592 HP and 620 Nm of torque. This means you’ll be hitting 96 km/h from a
standstill in just 2.8 seconds.
