The wait is finally over and customers can go ahead and buy a new A45 or CLA 45 as Mercedes-AMG launching them in different markets, including Germany.

Pricing is out of reach for most of us, but those who can afford to spend a small fortune can place an order for the A45, which is available at € 56,227.50 (US$ 62,349), or the more agile A45 S from € 61,820.50 (US$ 68,551).

The sleeker looking CLA 45 begins at € 60,095 (US$ 66,638), while the S will set you back € 65,688 (US$ 72,840). Getting the same car as a Shooting Brake requires spending at least € 60,690 (US$ 67,298) for the 45 and € 66,283 (US$ 73,499) for the 45 S.

The “base” versions get a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 387 PS and 480 Nm of torque. The A45 S, CLA 45 S or CLA 45 S Shooting Brake, on the other hand, offer 421 PS and 500 Nm. All come coupled to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and the 4Matic+ all-wheel drive with AMG Torque Control.

The S versions of the high-performance compact cars all have a 270 km/h top speed. The quickest of the bunch is the A45 S, which sprints to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, whereas The CLA 45 S in either four-door sedan or Shooting Brake form is a tenth of a second slower.
