What if Volkswagen decided to build an even smaller
high-riding vehicle than the T-Cross? That’s the premise behind this
independent design effort that you see here.
Kleber Silva put his editing skills to work and came
up with what he calls the VW T-Sport. Inspired by the recently unveiled Audi A1
Citycarver, it brings the company’s distinctive design at the front, enhanced
by chrome accents that are part of the digital R design pack. While the front
isn’t half bad, the rear design is all messed up.
Should Volkswagen make it? Probably not as
there are enough small crossovers in the market. Will they make it? Who knows,
but there have been talks about such a vehicle in the past; you know, the kind
that you have to take with the proverbial pinch of salt. Even if they decide to
give it a go, and they have all the tools to do so, the electric era is
knocking on their door. Therefore, who knows, maybe it will be able to drive in
complete silence.
While a tiny Volkswagen crossover is nothing to
write home about, the A1 Citycarver could be, especially for young customers
who dig the slightly higher driving position and more utilitarian design. The
new Audi will go on sale in August, with pricing and full specs to be
announced.
