The all-new BMW X4 M Competition is on stage at the
2019 Frankfurt Motor Show these days.
Finished in red shade that almost looks orange-y
under the strong lights at BMW’s stand, the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S Coupe
challenger flaunts its carbon fiber add-ons and colorful interior with more red
accents.
Breathing air from behind the normally-sized grille is a
3.0-liter, twin-turbo petrol engine. The six-banger develops 510 PS and 598 Nm of torque, rocketing the X4 M Competition to 100
km/h in 4.0 seconds and up to a 285 km/h top speed when
choosing the M Driver’s Package from the options list.
The ’regular’ X4 M packs a lesser version of the
same engine that churns out 479 PS and an identical torque
number. It’s only one tenth of a second slower to 100 km/h and maxes
out at 280 km/h.
BMW is accepting orders for the two X4 M models, as
well as the X3 M and X3 M Competition in several markets. On this side of the
pond, the X4 M Competition comes at US$ 81,395, including the US$ 995 destination and
handling charge, whereas the non-Competition model is US$ 7,000 cheaper. Choosing
the more practical X3 M will set you back US$ 70,896, while for the X3 M
Competition, you’ll have to fork out at least US$ 77,896.
