Sales of Honda’s 2020 Accord Hybrid are about to
start and the automaker has released official pricing details and fuel economy
ratings ahead of tomorrow’s launch. Pricing will start from US$ 26,400 –
including a US$ 930 destination charge – and reach up to US$ 36,070 for the
range-topping Hybrid Touring model. This makes the 2020 Accord Hybrid the most
affordable mid-size hybrid sedan in America.
New features for the 2020 model year include an
updated Acoustic Vehicle Alert System for when the car operates on electricity
alone. Honda adds that all models will now have a fuel economy rating of 48 mpg
city / 47 mpg highway / 48 mpg combined.
Power comes from a third-generation two-motor hybrid
powertrain that’s combined with a 2.0-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder engine. The
combined output remains unchanged at 212 hp.
Every 2020 Honda Accord Hybrid comes equipped with
the company’s Sensing suite of driver assistance systems. It includes Collision
Mitigation Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive
Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow and Traffic Sign Recognition technology.
Other standard features include automatic high-beam
headlights, a multi-angle rearview camera, a driver-attention monitor and Bluetooth
connectivity. Hybrid EX and above models get an eight-inch infotainment system
with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as HD Radio and Sirius XM.
The range-topping 2020 Accord Hybrid Touring adds
HondaLink subscription services, compatibility with Amazon Key and 4G
connectivity – among other things.
