A handful of images of the facelifted 2020 Nissan
Patrol / Armada with barely any camouflage have surfaced online. These images show the new SUV outside a car dealership
in Dubai. It is almost completely free of camouflage as the only part of its
design that is hidden from view is the redesigned front grille.
The front of the new Nissan Patrol looks drastically
different than the outgoing model which has been on the market since 2014.
Nissan has designed a set of distinctive new headlights that incorporate sharp
LED daytime running lights. In addition, there are new vertical air intakes
finished in black directly below the headlights and chrome accents housing the
fog lights.
Spin around to the rear and the new Patrol has
basically the same overall shape as the outgoing model but benefits from new
taillights and chrome trim.
The interior has also undergone a series of
comprehensive alterations. Sitting at the top of the dashboard is a large
touchscreen expected to house the infotainment system. Right below this screen
is a second larger display that will likely support various vehicle functions
including the air conditioning and heating controls. The driver’s side of the
center console continues to house the gear shifter and a rotary dial. This
particular example features red leather seats.
Nissan probably won’t make any changes to the Patrol
/ Armada’s engine line-up and retain both the 275 hp, 4.0-liter V6 and the 400
hp, 5.6-liter V8 petrol engines. The new SUV will debut before the end of the
year.
