First spy shots of the 2020 Renault Kwid have
surfaced online today. Apparently, the facelifted model features a new
touchscreen infotainment system and a new instrument cluster. The 2020 Renault Kwid will make
use of the Renault Triber's LED instrument cluster and 8-inch MediaNAV
Evolution touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto,
as well as a new steering wheel. New upholstery and trim which will add more
freshness are also expected.
On the outside, the facelifted Renault Kwid will
have substantially redesigned front-end reminiscent of the Renault City K-ZE
pure electric car. The most eye-catching new design feature will be two-tier
front light setup which also embeds LED DRLs. Furthermore, other major changes
will include a new V-shaped radiator grille, tweaked rear combination lamps
comprising C-shaped LED tail lights and fresh wheel covers.
In terms of mechanicals, expect the updated Renault
Kwid to get the same 0.8-litre SCe petrol engine (54 PS/72 Nm) and 1.0-litre
SCe petrol engine (68 PS/91 Nm) but both updated to BS-VI emission standards.
Expect the transmission choices to include 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated
manual units.
The 2019 Renault Kwid (facelift) will go
head-to-head against the upcoming Maruti S-Presso which is slated for 30
September 2019 launch.
