The Jaguar XF is approaching middle age, so the
company is working on a facelift for their mid-sized sedan and wagon. The Sportbrake will receive a minor
refreshing similar to the given to the 2020 XE. Despite the heavy camouflage, we can see the model
has been equipped with new headlights and a modestly revised front bumper. The
changes are echoed out back as the model appears to have an updated rear bumper
and slimmer taillights.
While the exterior styling changes are pretty minor,
bigger updates are expected in the cabin. Like the XE, the XF is expected to
feature a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an updated infotainment system
and a second touchscreen display for accessing the climate control system and
adjusting the heated / ventilated seats.
We can also expect a new steering wheel and a
revised center console which could see the rotary gear knob replaced by a more
conventional shifter. Other updates are expected to include higher quality
materials, new switchgear and revised trim / upholstery options.
Under the hood, there should be cleaner diesels that
comply with future emission standards. The model could also be offered with a
new mild-hybrid powertrain that features a 3.0-liter inline-six engine that
produces 395 hp and 550 Nm of torque. The facelifted Jaguar XF will
reportedly debut in the second half of 2020. This means the model will be
unveiled several months after the facelifted F-Pace.
