Gemopai Electric has announced the launch of the
Astrid Lite electric scooter. Gemopai Electric is a joint venture between
Goreen E-Mobility and Opai Electric.
The Astrid Lite boasts a
range of 90 km and three riding modes – Sports, City and Economy. Dual battery
pack expands the range to 150-180 km. The Sports mode allows a maximum speed of
75km/h. The Astrid Lite will be available at over 50 dealers across India and
Nepal. Gemopai claims that all its dealers offer after-sales service for the
electric scooters.
Deliveries are likely to commence in the first week
of October. The Astrid Lite will be available in five colours – Eclectic Neon,
Fiery Red, Deep Indigo, Fireball Orange and Burnt Charcoal. The stylish looks
and bright colour options of the scooter should appeal to young buyers. The
dual-tone alloy wheels with silver highlights further enhance the modern looks
of the new electric scooter.
Astrid Lite uses a removable 1.7 kWh lithium-ion
battery. The electric motor has a continuous power rating of 2400W, and peak of
4000W. The battery weighs around 8.5 kg. The feature list on the Astride Lite
includes LED Color Display, LED Headlight with Day Running Light, keyless entry
and a USB port.
Anchoring department comprises a disc brake at the
front and a drum unit at the back. The electric scooter also supports a safety
grille aiding protection again road mishaps. Other safety features of the
Astrid Lite include a side-stand sensor, anti-theft sensor and EABS (Electronic
Assist Brake System). The suspension department comprises telescopic forks at
the front and twin-sided springs at the back.
