If the Sian is meant to be Lamborghini’s greatest
supercar to date, then we would argue that it’s a shame it wasn’t built
directly as a Roadster, since that puts the driver even closer to the
powertrain from an auditory standpoint. Convertible cars are also
generally regarded as being “more cool” than regular Coupes or what have you,
which is yet another argument in favor of letting the top drop on any and all
new exotic supercars. Alas, this here is only a render, courtesy of Aksyonov

Regardless of its roof configuration, the Sian is
properly spectacular. For starters, it looks really menacing, sort of like a
mix between an Aventador, the Centenario and the Terzo Millennio Concept. If you can picture yourself in it
with no roof over your head, then you should also picture firing up its
6.5-liter naturally aspirated mild-hybrid system, which also packs a 48-volt
electric motor incorporated into the gearbox – it also supports low-speed
maneuvering, letting you park your electrified Lambo without using any
gasoline.
As for the numbers, they tell a very compelling
story. The Sian’s total system output reads 808 HP, allowing you to
hit 100 km/h from a standstill in under 2.8 seconds, before maxing out
somewhere beyond 350 km/h. It’s not quite a hypercar, but it’s not
far off either.
In order for us to see a real convertible version of
the Sian one day, Lamborghini would need to build beyond those initial 63 Coupe
examples which have already been sold – and that’s definitely not out of the
question.
