A trio of new Ram trucks were unveiled today at the
State Fair of Texas: the Ram 1500 Limited Black Edition that focuses on
comfort, technology and refinement, and the more capable Ram Heavy Duty Night
Edition Big Horn and Laramie.
With an MSRP of US$ 53,690, this 1500 stands out thanks
to its wide array of black accents that can be found on the grille, lettering,
badging, tow hooks, exhaust, LED headlights, grille surround, bumpers, door
handles and mirror covers. It also comes with 22-inch black wheels as standard,
a tonneau cover and sport performance hood.
Buyers can opt for both 4×2 and 4×4 configurations,
and either a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6, a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 or a 3.6-liter
Pentastar V6 with eTorque.
These two are also joining the lineup for 2020 and
are available on Big Horn and Laramie models, with pricing starting from US$ 37,995.
They feature a monochromatic design, black grille
with body-colored surround, black badging, dark bezels for the headlights and
taillights, and black 20-inch wheels. Meanwhile, the 17-inch black wheels with
machined pockets are a first for any Heavy Duty Ram truck equipped with dual
rear wheels. Available variants include the Ram 2500 and 3500 4×2 and 4×4 Crew
Cabs and Mega Cabs, with a choice of either a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 or a 6.7-liter
Cummins diesel that sports an amazing 1,355 Nm of torque.
The automaker is also offering a long list of
options and upgrades, such as a lighted and lockable RamBox cargo management
system with adjustable tie-down cleats and bed divider, and a Multifunction
Tailgate.
The Ram 1500 Limited Black Edition will arrive in
dealerships in late Q3 this year, while the HD Night Editions in Q4.
