The Apache RTR 200 4V at TVS that will benefit from a Bluetooth-enabled instrument console. Leaked documents published by BikeDekho reveal that the 2020 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V's unit will include all the features offered on the Ntorq 125's unit, and some more.

The Apache RTR 200 4V will get Bluetooth pairing, navigation assist, caller ID, SMS notification, last parked location, ride statistics and ease of service booking among other features. Apart from these, the bike will also benefit from functions like a personalised message on the digital display, auto-reply SMS and phone battery and network indicators. The ride statistics that will be recorded on the app will include lean angle, G-force, average speed, 0-60 km/h acceleration recorder gear distribution and Tour Mode. The rider will be able to share the statistics on social media.

Apart from the feature-packed instrument console and the smartphone app, the upcoming 2020 TVS Apache will benefit from a revised front fascia that will comprise full LED headlight and larger pilot lamps. Rest of the styling cues, however, will be identical to the current (BS-IV) compliant model, and the buyers will get clip-on style handlebar, muscular fuel tank with asymmetrically mounted filler cap, split seats, stylish pillion grab rail and an engine cowl.

The shock absorption and the braking setup, too, will be the same. The suspension department will comprise conventional telescopic forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the back. Anchoring hardware will include petal-type disc brakes on both wheels, while the safety net will comprise dual-channel ABS with Rear wheel Lift-off Protection.

The engine will undergo an overhaul to comply with the BS-VI emission norms. Post the upgrade, the carburettor model will be discontinued and the motorcycle will be only available with a fuel-injected motor. The performance figures will most likely be almost similar to the existing fuel-injected version. The 197.75 cc air/oil-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-valve, SOHC, fuel-injected engine delivers 21.0 PS of max power at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 18.1 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The motor will be linked to the five-speed gearbox with A-RT (Anti Reverse Torque) Slipper Clutch system.

The BS-VI range from TVS will start rolling out post-October 2019, and we expect the 2020 Apache RTR 200 4V to be among the first products. With its updated hardware and feature list, the Apache range will carry a price premium over the existing models. The Apache RTR 200 4V Fi (BS-IV) retails at INR 1,10,388 (ex-showroom Delhi).
