TVS Motor Company has introduced the new Jupiter Grande with Bluetooth-enabled instrument console for the Indian market. The updated Jupiter Grande includes a front disc brake as standard and is priced at INR 62,346*.

The new TVS Jupiter Grande gets the company’s SmartXConnect Bluetooth system that is already seen on the TVS Ntorq 125. The system works with a smartphone app (Android and iOS) and offers features like call and text notifications, over speeding alert, helmet reminder and auto-reply SMS. However, unlike on the Ntorq 125, the console on the Jupiter Grande misses the turn-by-turn navigation function. The smartphone app also records the ride data.

Apart from the additional Bluetooth-enabled console, the upcoming Jupiter Grande also gets a new Tech Blue (glossy) paint scheme and diamond-cut alloy wheels. The seat comes with a brown cover and a cross-stitch design while the footboard gets a beige colour. Chrome highlights on the front fender, rearview mirror housing, LED headlight and instrument console give a premium touch to the scooter. Other mechanical and hardware specifications remain unchanged.

The new scooter is powered by the familiar BS-IV 109.7 cc air-cooled OHC engine that delivers 8 PS of peak power at 7,500 rpm and 8.4 Nm of max torque at 5,500 rpm. Braking department comprises 130 mm drum brakes on both wheels, while a front disc is available as an option. The safety net includes the Sync Brake System (TVS’s tag for the combi-braking system) as standard fitment. Shock absorption tasks are handled by telescopic forks at the front and an adjustable spring at the back.

The upcoming TVS Jupiter Grande is the first 110 cc scooter in the Indian market to feature a Bluetooth-enabled instrument console. The addition of the feature will definitely catch the attention of potential buyers. In other recent updates, TVS launched the Special Edition StaR City+ that comes with a dual-tone paint scheme, stylish graphics and a dual-tone seat among other upgrades.
