TVS Motor Company has announced the launch of
‘Commuter of the Year’ celebratory special edition of its commuter motorcycle,
the Radeon. The TVS Radeon 'Commuter of the Year' celebratory special edition
comes in two colour options – Chrome-Black and Chrome-Brown.
The special edition Radeon comes with a chrome
accent around the headlight, chrome treatment to the rearview mirror housing,
chrome crash guard, chrome pillion grabrail and a chrome heatshield. Other
styling upgrades include premium graphics, new robust thigh pad design,
metallic levers, new petrol tank cushion with emblematic ‘R’, and a chrome
carburettor cover. Launched in August 2018, TVS Radeon already has found over 2
lakh customers.
Mechanical specifications are identical to the
standard motorcycle. This means that the TVS Radeon Special Edition draws 8.4
PS of maximum power at 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 8.7 Nm at 5,000 rpm from a
109.7cc air-cooled, single-cylinder Dura-Life engine. TVS claims a fuel economy
of 69.3 km/l which, along with the 10-litre tank, should give a range of over
690 km.
The TVS Radeon ‘Commuter of the Year’ celebratory
special edition is available in Disc and Drum variants. The drum brake variant
is available for INR 52,720*, while the disc brake variant retails at INR
54,820*.
The introduction of the special edition Radeon with
improved styling and updated braking equipment will help the company to clock
better sales during the high demand festive season. The company has also
introduced the updated Jupiter Grande with the same motive. Priced at INR
59,900*, the new TVS Jupiter Grande comes with first-in-class (110 cc)
Bluetooth connectivity feature that gives access to functions like incoming
calls, messages, auto-reply SMS, over speeding alert and a helmet reminder.
