The eight-gen Audi A6 was revealed last year and is headed to India now. Here are new spy shots showing its exterior & interior ahead of an imminent launch. Audi India has started teasing the car on its official social media handles.

The 2019 Audi A6 features the latest design language which was seen on the Audi Prologue concept models. It makes use of an angular and wider hexagonal single-frame grille which is flanked by HD Matrix LED headlights with futuristically designed DRLs in the form of five lines. The rear fascia has been updated with a much sharper design comprising of restyled combination lamps and a refreshed tailgate. The tail lamps make use of nine vertical light signature elements capped by a single horizontal line. A chrome strip bridges both them.


The 2019 Audi A6 measures 4,939 mm in length, 1,886 mm in width and 1,457 mm in height. In comparison to the outgoing model, it is 7 mm longer, 12 mm wider and 2 mm taller. Also, it now has a 12 mm longer wheelbase which measures 2,924 mm. On the inside, the 2019 Audi A6 follows Audi A8 and A7's footsteps. It features dual-display setup, a 10.1-inch infotainment display, along with an 8.6-inch display situated on the lower-side of the dash for the climate control, convenience functions, text input.

The current Audi A6 petrol on-sale in the Indian market is offered with a 1.8-litre engine but the all-new Audi A6 will feature a 2.0-litre unit. The former produces 190 PS of maximum power and 320 Nm of peak torque. It comes paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The latter, on the other hand, delivers 245 PS of maximum power and 370 Nm of peak torque, and also comes married to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It will be a BS-VI compliant engine right from the beginning. For those wondering which engine variant is destined for our market at launch, it's the 45 TFSI (FWD).

The outgoing Audi A6 retails at INR 50.01 lakh (ex-showroom). The new-gen Audi A6 is expected to be priced from around INR 55 lakh (ex-showroom).
