Pricing details for the 2020 Jeep Wrangler with the available 3.0-liter diesel V6 have surfaced thanks to a dealer order sheet published by the guys at the JL Wrangler Forums. One member on the forums was recently informed by a local dealer that the 3.0-liter diesel is now available to order priced at US$ 4000 and sold exclusively with a US$ 2000 eight-speed automatic transmission. This represents a US$ 3250 premium over the price of the 2020 Wrangler with the 3.6-liter Pentastar engine and automatic transmission.

FCA’s 3.0-liter V6 diesel used by the new Wrangler delivers 260 hp and 600 Nm of torque. It is offered exclusively with the four-door Unlimited model in all trim levels. A version of the same engine is also available with the Ram 1500 where it offers up the same horsepower and an additional 52 Nm of torque.

Fuel economy numbers for the Wrangler diesel have been announced although it should sip less fuel than the 2.0-liter inline-four and 3.6-liter V6 also available which return 21 mpg (11.2 l/100 km) combined and 20 mpg (11.8 l/100 km) combined respectively. We’re also yet to receive towing numbers for the diesel.

A member on the forum says they were informed by a dealership that production of the Wrangler diesel will commence in November meaning the first deliveries should probably be made just before the end of the year.
