Datsun has launched the GO CVT and the GO+ CVT in
the Indian market, at INR 5.94 lakh* and INR 6.58 lakh*. Both the
cars are the first in their segment to have received the CVT transmission
option. At this price, these are the most affordable CVT cars present in
India. Deliveries of the CVT-equipped Datsun models have commenced.
Datsun is offering the CVT option in the GO and GO+
only in the T and T(O) variants, which feature a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment
system supporting smartphone connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
applications and all the other main features. In terms of safety, both the
Datsun GO CVT and GO+ CVT feature first-in-segment Vehicle Dynamic Control
(VDC), dual airbags, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, engine immobiliser, reverse
parking sensors and follow-me-home headlamps, and speed sensing auto door
locks.
Along with the CVT, common to both the models is a
1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine which delivers 67 PS and 104 Nm of peak
torque. The new Datsun GO CVT and the Datsun GO+ CVT are available in a total
of six colours: Ruby Red, Vivid Blue, Bronze Grey, Amber Orange, Crystal Silver
and Opal White. Both models come with a standard two-year warranty package which
can be extended to up to five years on extra charges.
