Dongfeng Fengxing (Forthing) T1EV made its debut on
27th Sep. 2019, Forthing T1EV is a small pure electric SUV based on Renault’s
latest CMF-A small vehicle platform, jointly developed by Dongfeng Fengxing,
Dongfeng-Renault, Dongfeng-Venucia, Dongfeng Fengshen and DFSK, the
comprehensive range of this small EV will be 271 km. Previously,
Dongfeng Fengshen has also debuted a new EV, the Aeolus EX1, at the 2019
Chengdu Motor Show, it has the same range of 271 km.
The exterior design of Forthing T1EV continues from
the Dongfeng Fengshen EX1, but the closed front grille with blue elements and
the simplified fog light zone design are the new elements of the car. Although
the new car is positioned as a small pure electric SUV, the design of the
open-eye headlights, the simple front bracket and so on are not stingy.
On the side view, it is similar to the Renault City
K-ZE, especially the design of the door frame line, the door handle shape, and
the anti-scratch strip under the door panel. In addition, the T1EV also
features black decoration at the wheel eyebrow. In terms of size, the new car
has a length, width and height of 3699/1579/1515 mm and a wheelbase of 2423 mm.
In terms of interiors, the design of Forthing T1EV
is exactly the same as the Dongfeng Fengshen EX1 or the Renault K-ZE. The
overall design style is more rounded, but due to the large area of hard
plastic, the texture is just soso. The steering wheel adopts the common
circular three-spoke shape, there is no multi-function button, the instrument
uses two mechanical instruments plus a small-sized driving computer, the size
of the central control panel is the same as that of the EX1, which is 8 inches.
In terms of power, Dognfeng Fengxing T1EV is powered
by a permanent magnet synchronous motor with maximum power of 44 hp and
peak torque of 125 Nm. The car is equipped with ternary lithium battery with
capacity of 26.8kWh. The officially announced comprehensive battery life data
is 271 km.
