Karma introduced the Revero GT earlier this year and
a new report is indicating the company will use the Los Angeles Auto Show to
unveil a high-performance variant known as the Revero GTS. Little is known about the model,
but Wards Auto says it will feature an assortment of “enhancements” including
special wheels and an upgraded interior.
The sedan will also have an upgraded powertrain as
the publication says the car will be able to accelerate from 0-96
km/h in 3.5 seconds. That’s one second faster than the standard model. This suggests the car will be equipped with more
powerful electric motors, but nothing is official as of yet. Regardless, the
standard Revero GT has two motors that produce a combined output of 536 hp and 1,491 Nm of torque. They enable the car to
accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 4.5 seconds before hitting a limited
top speed of 201 km/h.
The electric motors are powered by a 28 kWh
lithium-ion battery pack and this enables the car to travel up to 129
km on electricity alone. The model is also equipped with a BMW-sourced
1.5-liter TwinPower Turbo three-cylinder engine that acts as a generator and
extends the overall driving range up to 579 km.
