Suzuki has shown us another concept car it will be
revealing at the upcoming 2019 Tokyo Motor Show: the Waku Spo. The car only
exists in the form of 3D renderings so far, and the company claims it has a
transforming body.
Specifically, you can switch between four-door coupe
(2+2) and estate/wagon variants. The conversion itself is
quite simple and non-invasive, only requiring you to install or detach the part
above the trunk lid. The rear end, the sides and the roof stay unchanged.
But there is more to the transformer nature of the
Suzuki Waku Spo. If you wish, you can buy extra modules that will change the
appearance of its front end, the cabin trim, or even the tech. Suzuki believes
that car sharing services – for which the model has originally been designed –
will know to appreiate the wide customization opportunities.
As far as the engine is concerned, the company
limits itself to saying the car is a plug-in hybrid with four-wheel drive. No
other specifications are available to date.
