After the Dark Edition of Harrier and the 2019 Nexon
Kraz, Tata Motors is now gearing up to launch another special edition car in
preparation for the upcoming festive season. The new special edition model will
be the 2019 Tata Tiago Wizz and it will be launched on 3rd October this year.
For the uninitiated, this is not the first Wizz
Edition of the Tiago, as Tata Motors has already launched a similar model in
the past around the festive season of 2017. Previously available in a red/black
colour scheme, the 2019 model will be sold in an exclusive colour of titanium
grey/black. Also, the new car will be further decorated with orange accents on
the front grille, ORVMs and the new design DurAlloy wheels. Interestingly, the
'DurAlloy wheels' aren't actually alloys but steel wheels which have been
painted smartly to make them look like alloys. They were first made available
on the Tiago NRG.
Apart from the visual tweaks, the car will also get the
obvious Wizz badging on the exteriors to further differentiate itself. While on
the inside, it will sport dual-tone colour combination along with fabric seats
with orange deco-stitch, grey gear shift bezel, grey air vent bezel, orange
side and centre air vent ring, and granite black inner door handle.
The 2019 Tata Tiago Wizz will be powered by the same
BS-IV 1.2-litre petrol engine which is rated to deliver 85 PS of maximum power
and 114 Nm of peak torque. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual
transmission and is claimed to deliver 23.84 km/l of fuel economy rating. There
will be no diesel engine option or an AMT option.
The new Tata Tiago Wizz will be kitted with safety
features such as dual front airbags, seat belt warning, speed sensor, parking
sensors at the rear, ABS with EBD, engine immobilizer, central locking, manual
AC, height-adjustable driver seat, etc. It is expected to be priced at ~INR 5
lakh*.
