Ducati unveiled its 2020 line-up earlier this month. The company announced several new and updated models in its 2020 portfolio. Among the list of updated models was the 2020 Diavel power cruiser with new colour options. The motorcycle, however, packs a Euro-IV compliant engine only. The Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour, too, features a Euro-IV motor.

The 2020 colour schemes bring Dark Stealth option for the standard version and an all-new Ducati Red with white trims for the S version. The Dark Stealth colour brings matt black finish to the frame, rims and the mechanical parts. The changes are limited to the new paint options, and the Diavel retains the styling and mechanical specifications.

The specification sheet retains the 1,262 cc L-Twin cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with 4 valves per cylinder, Dual Spark and Desmodromic Variable Timing that pumps out 159 hp of max power at 9,500 rpm and 129 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The Ride by Wire (RbW) continues to feature three Riding Modes and three Power Modes. The Diavel 1260 S comes standard with Ducati Quick Shift up&down (DQS), and this feature can be added to the base model. The engine slipper continues to pack the slipper/assist clutch mechanism.

The suspension specification on the base model comprises 50 mm inverted front forks and preload and rebound adjustable mono-shock at the back. Anchoring hardware on the standard model includes twin 320 mm semi-floating discs with radially mounted Brembo monobloc 4-piston M4.32 callipers and PR18/19 radial master cylinder at the front. The rear uses single 265 mm disc with 2-piston Brembo floating calliper.

The more premium version benefits from Brembo M50 callipers on the front discs. The shock absorption tasks on the S version are performed by 48 mm Ohlins adjustable front forks and Ohlins fully adjustable rear mono-shock.

The standard safety pack on both variants include Bosch Cornering ABS Evo, Ducati Traction Control Evo DTC, Riding Modes, Power Modes and Ducati Wheelie Control Evo (DWC). Key features such as Cruise control, Ducati Power Launch Evo (DPL), hands-free, backlit handlebar switches, 3.5" TFT colour display, full LED lighting system and Self-cancelling turn indicators are also standard on both variants. The S version, however, also features Daytime Running Light (DRL) and Ducati Multimedia System (DMS).
