Electric two-wheeler brand, Crayon Motors
has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of the new Envy e-scooter in
the Indian market. In terms of styling, the Envy electric
scooter features apron-mounted, twin-pod headlight at the front. The blinkers
occupy the space near the handlebar. The saddle appears to be large enough to
accommodate two adults comfortably. Moreover, pillion comfort is enhanced with
a backrest. Sharp character lines and a premium features make the electric
scooter more appealing. The feature list comprises keyless ignition, central
locking function, digital speedometer and reverse assist. The vehicle is
available in three colour options – Super White, Soothing Blue and Feisty
Orange.
Engine specifications on the Envy electric
scooter include a 250 Watt BLDC motor that draws power from a 48/60V Valve
Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) battery. Buyers can also opt for a Li-ion battery
pack. The top-speed of the Envy electric motor is less than 25 km/h while the
company claims a range of 70 km. The scooter also benefits from a regenerative
braking system.
Despite the relatively lower top-speed,
the Envy electric scooter is equipped with a disc brake at the front. Stopping
power at the back is delivered by a drum brake while the safety net comprises
an electronic assisted braking system. The shock absorption department features
telescopic forks at the front. Other key features on the Envy electric scooter
include alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, Geo Tagging, side-stand sensor, large
boot space (exact size not available) and a USB charger. The scooter is backed
by a 12-month warranty.
Apart from offering eco-friendly electric
scooter, the company has also announced its ‘Plant a Tree’ initiative. Under
the program, Crayon Motors plants a tree for every scooter sold. The company
expects to plant over 1,000 trees over the next four months.
