SpeedKore has
unveiled their insane Dodge Charger. And it’s a stunner. Based on the Charger
Pursuit, the model has been equipped with a 6.2-liter Demon V8 engine that has
been stripped of its supercharger. The latter has been replaced by two
turbochargers that enable the mill to produce a staggering 1,525 hp at the crank.
Of course, getting
that massive horsepower rating wasn’t as easy as installing the twin turbos.
Quite the opposite actually as the engine has also been equipped with custom
Thitek heads, new injectors and a custom exhaust. The latter is unique as it
exits out the front bumper for track use and can be rerouted to a MagnaFlow
Competition Series exhaust for street driving.
Besides the aforementioned
changes, the car has been equipped with a progressive boost controller and a
triple-pump fuel system. However, one of the most interesting upgrades is the
car’s all-wheel drive system. Power from the engine is transferred to a
Hellraiser Performance transmission which sends it to a billet transfer case.
From there, it’s sent to the wheels via carbon fiber driveshafts.
Besides the
powertrain upgrades, the Charger has been equipped with a carbon fiber widebody
kit. Created using scans of a Charger Widebody, the kit includes new bumpers,
extended fender flares and lightweight side skirts. There’s also a carbon fiber
hood, spoiler and rear diffuser. Lastly, the model has been outfitted with
Bogart wheels which are wrapped in Mickey Thompson ET Street tires.
The car is
certainly interesting and so is that fact that it was commissioned by Alex
Palermo, who will give it to his brother as a 65th birthday present.
