The Ferrari GTC4Lusso (and the FF that
came before it) is a bit of an oddity in the world of high-performance exotics.
It’s a generous four-seater with two doors and a Shooting Brake shape. It
doesn’t look that bad, but it’s not exactly one of Ferrari’s finest design
efforts either.
Eager to show how a vehicle like the
GTC4Lusso could be overhauled and turned into something a little more appealing
to the eye, designer Hosein Soleimani has dreamed up the following eye-catching
creation depicting what a more traditionally-shaped sedan from Ferrari could
appear.
The initial inspiration for the car’s
overall shape comes from the proportions of the Aston Martin Rapide.
Consequently, the vehicle has four reasonably-sized doors and the entire cabin
has been pushed forward, resulting in a shorter nose. Speaking of the front, it
has a shape unlike any other current Ferrari model with sharp headlights, a
small air intake in the center of the hood, and circular LED daytime running
lights incorporated into the grille and reminiscent of the Aston Martin
Vanquish Zagato.
At the rear, one aspect of the car’s
design, aptly dubbed the GTC4 Grand Lusso, that is particularly striking is the
tiny rear decklid and relatively long rear overhang. Also found at the rear are
two circular taillights and quad tailpipes that are stacked on top of each
other. While a vehicle like the Ferrari GTC4 Grand Lusso could
give the Italian brand a perfect rival to the other ultra-luxury saloons, it
seems unlikely such a car will ever see the light of day. Instead, Maranello’s
next ‘practical’ offering will take the shape of the Purosangue SUV.
