An enigmatic test vehicle has been spotted next to the Ferrari HQ. The company took it out for a ride on public roads, despite it looking like the 488 Challenge Evo racecar without street permission (see video for that one).

Furthermore, the 488 Challenge Evo has already debuted and is no secret to anyone, while the prototype comes disguised. Perhaps what we see here is a road-legal variant of the Evo, or possibly just a test mule with a new chassis hidden under the Evo body to mislead the sensation-hungry car photographers. No official comment has been made yet.

The Italian supercar manufacturer unveiled five new vehicles this year: the F8 Tributo, SF90 Stradale, F8 Spider, 812 GTS, and Roma. The marque’s first crossover SUV named Purosangue should join the lineup in late 2020.
