UK customers are now
able to place an order for the 2020 2008 and e-2008 SUVs ahead of their market
launch early next year. Peugeot
is now accepting reservations for the GT Line trim of both the 2008 and its
fully electric version, the e-2008, with their prices starting from £ 26,100 and
£ 32,000 respectively (the latter includes the UK’s £ 3,500 Plug-In Car Grant).
This trim level comes
packed with features, including full LED headlights with smartbeam assist, LED
rear lights, as well as an interior with Adamite green colour stitching, mood
lighting, dynamic seats and aluminium pedals. The new 2008 will become
available in Active, Allure and GT trim later on.
The new
battery-electric e-2008 is powered by a 136 HP electric motor and a 50 kWh
battery pack. The French electric subcompact SUV is expected to offer a driving
range of 310 km on the WLTP cycle. It’s also compatible with 100kW
fast-charging, which will recharge the battery to 80 percent in just 30 minutes,
while topping it up on a conventional 7.4kW charger will take 7.5 hours.
ICE-powered models are
offered with both petrol and diesel engines. These include the 1.2-liter
PureTech three-cylinder petrol with three different outputs (99 HP, 128 HP and
153 HP), as well as a 1.5-liter BlueHDI diesel with 99 HP. All models come with
front-wheel drive.
The new 2008 is
Peugeot’s latest model to feature the brand’s 3D i-Cockpit, including a small
steering wheel and a new head-up display. The latter projects information in
hologram form close to the driver’s line of sight. The dashboard hosts a
10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that features 3D Navigation with live
traffic information, Mirror Screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
