It’s a sign of the times when a renowned tuner
specializing in older Porsche 911s unveils its first electric conversion. Meet the Porsche 911 E-RWB,
Rauh-Welt Begriff’s first ever Tesla-powered custom build. Described as RWB’s
fastest and most powerful Porsche 911 ever, the E-RWB packs the drivetrain from
a Tesla Model S Performance.
The electric motor delivers 563 HP of power
and is fed electricity by a 32-kWh LG Chem liquid cooled battery. That’s enough
to make the 911 E-RWB faster than a 700 HP gas car, the tuner says. Helping put
all that power down is a Quaife Tesla Model S Limited Slip Differential.
The 1977 Porsche 911 coupe donor car was also given
a styling upgrade via a RWB Backdate Body Kit, RWB “Long Hood” conversion,
Porsche 1957 Ivory Paint, chrome exterior trim, and custom spun 17-inch BBS RS
wheels shod with Toyo Tires R888R (sized 245/40 R17 at the front and 315/35 R17
at the rear).
Inside, the Porsche 911 E-RWB features full cabin
fiberglass panels from Streetfighter LA, custom Porsche 356 Speedster seats
with Burberry inserts, RWB Los Angeles chrome plated roll cage, Momo Indy
Heritage steering wheel and much more.
Performance tweaks include a StopTech Porsche Big
Brake Kit and a GT3-inspired racing suspension from Elephant Racing featuring a
level 3 independent coil over conversion, lowered front struts, and more.
For now, the Porsche 911 E-RWB is a one-off effort
but we imagine anyone willing to pay the right amount of money can have a
similar car built to their specific requirements.
