Subaru has started accepting orders for the new Forester e-Boxer in the United Kingdom, where it’s available in two versions, called the XE and XE Premium, which can already be found in dealerships.

Pricing starts at £ 33,995 on-the-road and the base model comes with an 8-inch infotainment system with smartphone integration, power adjustable front seats with memory on the driver’s side, keyless entry and go, LED headlamps and fog lights, reverse automatic braking, side view monitor, driver monitoring system and a few other features.

Available from £ 36,995, the Forester e-Boxer XE Premium offers more equipment, including 18-inch alloy wheels with a new pattern, privacy rear glass, sunroof and power tailgate. This version also brings a satellite navigation system, leather seats and heated steering wheel and second-row.

Both versions of the SUV are powered by a 2.0-liter engine and a small electric motor mounted in the transmission. The ICE variant develops 150 PS and 194 Nm of torque, whereas the electric motor adds 16 PS and 65 Nm. It comes with Symmetrical All-Wheel drive and offers three driving modes: EV, Motor Assist and Engine.

The first one lets you enjoy zero emissions for about 1.6 km at speeds of up to 40 km/h, while the second one combines the two units for improved power and performance. The third one uses the ICE power solely. Those holding the wheel can also choose from two more driving modes called Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud by using the dial switch.
