The
news just keeps dropping in on Genesis’ first ever SUV, the GV80, which has
been caught undisguised for what seems to be the umpteenth time this past
month, thought this is by far our best look yet. The images of the luxury SUV photographed
inside what appears to be a ship were shared on a number of Korean forums.
We
also heard that the Genesis GV80’s domestic unveiling
was pushed back to on, or just after, December 19. We asked our Genesis contact
here in the States who told CarScoops that they could “neither deny nor
confirm” the date, which to us sounds like it’s plausible but not definite.
At
this point, we have solid idea on what Korean’s BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE
competitor will look like, both inside and out.
Besides
the full frontal view showing Genesis’ pentagonal grille that has been likened
by many to a oversized Superman shield and a fuzzy, faraway look of its
profile, we also have a couple new images of the cabin in a light beige color
slathered in leather surfaces and the digital instrument panel that could be
offered as standard in North America.
