The long-awaited Fisker Ocean will premiere at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) at the start of January. In addition, the company has announced a partnership with Electify America that will provide Ocean owners with access to the largest open DC fast-charging network in the United States.

From what we know of the Ocean, it will feature an 80 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and be good for a range of 402-483 km. In news that is bound to excite prospective customers, the Ocean will be capable of gaining more than 320 km of range with just 30 minutes of charging.

We also know that the Ocean will receive a full-length solar roof to boost efficiency. In fact, Fisker estimates the solar roof can provide up to 1,610 km of free range per year. All Ocean models will also come with a so-called ‘California Mode’ that will provide occupants with a “fresh air and an open feeling without being in a convertible.” More details of the ‘California Mode’ will be announced next week, although it appears to be a panoramic sunroof with a fancy name.
