Hyundai has revealed some of the technical parameters of its upcoming Sonata N-Line performance sedan. This includes the engine specs. The car will ship with a 2.5-liter turbocharged unit rated at 293 hp and 420 Nm of torque. An eight-speed dual-clutch transmission will be sending the momentum to the front wheels, and front wheels only. Despite the sufficient engine power, the N-Line will make do without AWD or limited-slip differential.

From the exterior point of view, the N-Line will be getting larger 19-inch wheels (instead of the stock 18-inch ones) and quad tailpipes. The N-Line will remain the strongest Sonata in the family. Unlike some other Hyundai models, it will not be getting the top-performance ‘N’ version.

The Hyundai Sonata N-Line will celebrate its official premiere in a few weeks at most, but sales will not begin until the fall of 2020.
