The
Jetta VS7 crossover/SUV debuted at the Guangzhou Motor Show last month
featuring Skoda Karoq tech and three seat rows. You may pre-order it starting
today. On the outside, the Jetta VS7 looks much
like its junior sibling, the Jetta VS5. The differences include bumpers, glass
dome, and taillights.
The
inside space of the VS7 also mimics the VS5 in everything except the larger
infotainment screen and new climate control interface.
Powering
the new SUV is a single-option 1.4 TSI engine sending 150 hp to the
front wheels via a six-speed automatic gearbox. Prices
for the basic trim begin at 92,800 Chinese Yuan (US$ 13,280), but tick all the
boxes, and you’re looking forward to parting with 121,800 Yuan (US$ 17,430).
