Valeo,
a France-based company co-established with the Gunma University of Japan
(CRANTS subdivision), has designed an electric car marketed as middle ground
between a pickup truck and a van.
The
truck comes based on the Valeo’s proprietary platform called 48V and packs
eDrive motors on both axles, rated at 20 hp each. This makes for an
electric AWD system and enables the car to fulfil its primary declared
function: cargo hauling inside factories and enterprises. The power may not
sound like much, but the company claims it is adequate for the purpose.
The
driving range is 100 kilometers, and the top going speed is capped
at 100 km/h.
