An order guide recently issued for the 2020 Genesis G90 has revealed what customers will have to pay in the U.S. to get the brand’s new flagship sedan. As reported by Cars Direct, the G90 will be sold in two forms locally. Sitting at the base of the range will be the G90 3.3T Premium starting at US$ 73,195 including the US$ 995 destination fee.
This model comes outfitted with the same 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 as the Kia Stinger GT, Genesis G70 3.3T, and Genesis G80 Sport to deliver 365 hp and 509 Nm of torque. As standard, this model is rear-wheel drive but for $2,500, customers can get the optional all-wheel drive.
The second 2020 G90 on offer is the 5.0 Ultimate that’s starting at US$ 76,695. This model uses a naturally-aspirated 5.0-liter V8 with 420 hp and 519 Nm of torque and is rear-wheel drive but, like the 3.3T, can be ordered with all-wheel drive for an extra US$ 2,500.
As the 2020 G90 is a facelifted version of the outgoing model rather than an all-new car, much of its cabin remains familiar. That being said, it does incorporate a new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Mirror Link, and over-the-air software updates, while for 2020 Genesis has also developed an Active Noise Cancellation system.
Prices for the Genesis G90 undercut the likes of the Audi A8, BMW 7-Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class that start at US$ 86,195, US$ 87,445 and US$ 95,245 respectively.
