Nissan Europe has released
more details about the new Qashqai N-Tec Edition that combines enhanced styling
with more standard tech for the popular crossover. Styling-wise, the Nissan
Qashqai N-Tec Edition goes for a more sinister look thanks to all-black 19-inch
alloys, smoked headlights and taillights, darkened front grille treatment and
glossy black mirror caps.
Inside, the special edition
crossover continues the black theme with PVC / Alcantara-trimmed seats, soft
touch materials, glossy black air vents and black roof and A-pillar lining.
Besides looking more dynamic,
the Nissan Qashqai N-Tec is also more intelligent as it benefits from many
advanced technologies included in the standard specification. Chief among those
is the ProPilot driver assist system which oversees highway driving, helping to
keep the vehicle in lane, regulate its speed, manage traffic jams and control
the distance to the vehicle ahead.
Then there’s the Intelligent
Parking Assist automated parking feature which is said to remove the stress of
reverse parking. The system uses advanced sensors to identify a suitable
parking space and then performs the maneuver on its own. All the driver has to
do is regulate the speed while keeping an eye on the Around-View Monitor which
gives a bird’s eye view of the surroundings on the touchscreen display.
Speaking of the center
display, it’s part of the standard NissanConnect infotainment system, which
includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. “The Qashqai N-Tec edition
brings Nissan Intelligent Mobility innovations to a wider audience. It’s a car
that continues in the finest Nissan tradition by bringing together the very
best of Nissan design and technology, and therefore upscaling the drive for
Qashqai customers,” says David Moss, Nissan Europe’s Senior Vice President for
Research and Development.
