The BMW X7 is still a relative newbie in the large luxury SUV segment. However, its on-board tech and available power units make it a very tempting purchase for somebody that’s willing to spend roughly US$ 100,000 on average for a people hauler, depending on spec. While the entry-level xDrive40i version kicks off from US$ 73,900 in the United States, moving up to the xDrive50i model immediately takes you to US$ 92,600.
Meanwhile, this M50i variant costs north of US$ 99,600, thanks mostly to its performance characteristics. The car you see here, a resident of BMW Abu Dhabi, would cost even more than that, seen as how it comes with a few extra goodies inside and out.
Aside from the Alpine White exterior which is a no-cost option of the X7, we also spot a Tartufo Extended Merino Leather interior, which costs an extra US$ 1,000 in the U.S. – although if you want it on your X7 M50i, you’ll have to opt for the Front ventilated seats and the Second-Row Captain’s Chairs too, bringing the net charge up to an additional US$ 2,350.
Then there’s the optional rear-seat entertainment Professional system, requiring you to pay an extra US$ 2,200. As for the exterior, you get a more aggressive looking bumper with larger air intakes, a new rear bumper, new rocker panels, Cerium Grey accents, Shadowline trim, 22-inch wheels, blue calipers with M-logos and the M Sport exhaust system.
Powering the BMW X7 M50i is a 4.4-liter twin turbocharged V8 engine, putting down 523 HP and 750 Nm)of torque, which is enough to get you from zero to 96 km/h in 4.5 seconds.
