Maserati
is planning on producing just 100 Levante, Quattroporte and Ghibli Royale
models, with 3.0-liter V6 diesel and 3.0-liter V6 petrol engines. In order to
properly showcase one of the three special edition models, the Italian carmaker
attended last weekend’s Snow Polo World Cup on the St. Moritz lake. We should
note that Maserati also happens to be an official sponsor for this sport.
Off
the polo field, the highlight of the event was undoubtedly the Levante Royale,
which put on a show for those in attendance, while also allowing them to admire
its dynamic lines. Among the VIP guests were British polo player Malcolm
Borwick and Italian slalom world champion Giorgio Rocca.
Customers
can choose between two exclusive colors in Blu Royale and Verde Royale, working
alongside the 21-inch bespoke Anteo Staggered Anthracite wheels and silver
brake calipers. The interior meanwhile is based on that of the GranLusso
version, offering a choice between Pelletessuta Cuoio (tan) leather by
Ermenegildo Zegna or two-tone Pieno Fiore leather in Black/ten.
Other
goodies include the high gloss Metal Net finishes, the distinctive ‘One of 100’
plate, electric sunroof, tinted windows and the Bowers & Wilkins sound
system. Also available are the Cold Weather, Premium and Driving Assistance
Plus packages, which are fitted as standard.
Orders
for these limited edition Maseratis can already be placed, with first
deliveries scheduled for March. While the Levante Royale costs £ 85,300
(US$ 111,400) in the UK, the Ghibli Royale is a £ 78,900 (US$ 103,000) affair, while
the Quattroporte Royale will set you back £ 103,150 (US$ 134,750).
