The 2020 Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory and the Tuono 1100 RR, which were showcased at Auto Expo 2020, are now on sale in India. The more powerful RSV4 1100 Factory is priced at Rs 22.42 lakh while the Tuono 1100 RR retails for Rs 17.96 lakh (ex-showroom India). Both motorcycles will be brought via the CBU route. Since both are Euro 4 (BS4)-compliant motorcycles, they can be sold only before the April 1 BS6 deadline.

Like its sister company, Moto Guzzi, Aprilia too gets its large-capacity motorcycles to India via the CBU route. That leaves the bikemaker with limited time (around 40 days) to get the motorcycle from Italy, clear Customs, and get it registered for customers before the BS6 deadline.

For 2020, the RSV4 1100 Factory gets a larger 1078cc V4 motor from the Tuono 1100 RR. While both share the same motor, they are tuned quite differently and have varying power outputs. While the RSV4 1100 delivers a heady 217 PS and 122 Nm, the road-focused Tuono 1100 RR puts out 175 PS and 121 Nm.

Both motorcycles also get a slightly different suspension setup. The track-focused RSV4 1100 Factory gets fully adjustable Ohlins and Brembo Stylema brake calipers, while the road-focused Tuono gets Sachs suspension and brakes via Brembo M50 calipers upfront.

The Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory competes with the BMW S 1000 RR, Honda CB 1000 RR Fireblade, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR, and Ducati Panigale V4 S. Its streetfighter cousin meanwhile faces competition from the Honda CB1000R, Kawasaki Z1000, and the soon-to-be-launched Ducati Streetfighter V4.
