Nissan has launched two new special
editions of the Pathfinder and Qashqai in Australia, named the N-Trek and
N-Sport, respectively. Available in the ST+ and ST-L grades, with two- or
four-wheel drive, pricing for the Pathfinder N-Trek ranges between AU$ 46,840
(US$ 31,605) and AU$ 60,640 (US$ 40,915).
On the outside, the new version of the
Pathfinder gets black grille, badges, rear license plate trim, diffuser, fender
flares, door handles, side mirror casings and roof rails. The seven-seater
rides on 18-inch alloy wheels, with a black and silver finish, wrapped in 255
tires, and comes in the Ivory Pearl, Diamond Black, Gun Metallic and Caspian
Blue colors.
Standard features include Emergency
Braking with Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross
Traffic Alert and Intelligent Cruise Control. The drivetrain is unchanged, with
power coming from a 3.5-liter V6 engine, rated at 275 PS and
340 Nm of torque.
Limited to 600 units nationwide, the
Qashqai N-Sport is based on the ST-L grade, adding AU$ 1,000 (US$ 675) to the
base price, and is available from AU$ 35,000 (US$ 23,615).
Slotting under the Ti trim level, the
special edition version of the compact SUV has body-colored front and rear
bumpers with matte silver trimmings, silver-finished side mirror casings and
19-inch alloy wheels, alongside the black headlining inside.
Powering the Qashqai N-Sport is a
2.0-liter petrol engine, hooked up to a CVT and equipped with the brand’s
continuously variable valve timing control system. The unit delivers 144 PS at 6,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm.
