The fourth generation of the Audi A3
debuted not long ago in its five-door hatchback form, but the sedan/saloon
remained a mystery until now.
The camouflaged test mule was spotted on
the Simferopol Highway near Moscow, Russia. Based on the pics, the new
generation has the same basic outlines and features as its predecessor did. The
hatchback preserved the predecessor’s wheelbase length of 2,637 mm,
and the sedan/saloon will likely do the same.
The front end looks identical to that of
the hatchback. As to why Audi picked Russia for testing the new A3, this
actually seems logical because sedan body style is more popular there than
hatchback.
The four-door A3 should debut this summer.
