A handful of what appear to be official
images have surfaced online, revealing the long-awaited 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo
just prior to its global debut. These images, shared online by Cochespias and
Instagram user Wilcoblok, are only low resolution but show the new 911 Turbo in
both Coupe and Cabriolet configurations. What we’re unable to determine is
whether the models pictured are the 911 Turbo or the new 911 Turbo S.
Whatever the case may be, it’s immediately
apparent that the new high-performance 911 model adopts a similar sleek and
understated design to the former 991-generation model. Found at the front is a
tweaked bumper with LED turn signals while we can also see large air intakes
just behind the doors on both the Coupe and Cabriolet models pictured.
One of the images offers a glimpse of the
sports car’s rear end where we can see a large rear wing that extends out of
the decklid. There also appear to be two large oval-shaped tailpipes. A single
interior shot shows off the interior of the new sports car in Turbo S guise.
This particular car is adorned with bright red leather and features a large
infotainment screen neatly incorporated into the dashboard.
Reports suggest both the new 911 Turbo and
911 Turbo S will feature a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six engine. The
Turbo is expected to produce around 580 hp while the Turbo S could be good for
as much as 641 hp. Both models will hit 100 km/h in less than 3
seconds and power through to over 320 km/h.
