German tuner ABT Sportsline is working on
what it calls the ABT RSQ8-R, a custom rendition of the Audi Q8 SUV and ‘the
first of its kind’.
In late January, ABT has released a power
kit for the RS Q8, bringing its output to 700 hp and 880 Nm of torque. As such, it would be logical to expect an extension of
that kit, complete with an aerodynamic package and other premium options. In
the short video teaser, you can see a carbon fiber radiator grille and ABT’s
signature forged wheels, as well as hear a different exhaust soundtrack.
The tuner’s social media pages tell us
that the SUV is ‘an exception to the rule,’ and that the premiere is expected
in June 2020.
